f3 - enabling local and sustainable food enterprise
Enterprise and innovation

We help businesses to plan development at both start-up and growth stages.

Our work is diverse, for example including:

feasibility studies for new collaborative enterprises such as distribution co-operatives
development advice for social enterprises and community-based projects
enabling supply chain connections and facilitating new supply contracts
audits and business plans for producers and other supply chain businesses

Our inputs range from one day surgeries, to long-term hand-holding. Some new packages we offer include:

SFX - a five-part process to assist organisations in achieving more sustainable practice in catering and other food-related activity
Hands on help for start-ups and growth businesses to create professional accounting and company management systems
Fund management - help for CDFIs and other funding bodies to identify, filter and provide business help to hard-to-fund food enterprises.

Here’s what one client said of us:

'following your work we're clearer about our values, objectives and options, as well as getting loads of practical advice'

Simon Michaels, a director of f3, is listed on the National Business Link Consultants Register. This means that initial specialist consultancy obtained through a Business Link organisation can in places be offered without cost to the client. Often, our work can be subsidised or paid for partly by the funding we help generate.
